Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus)
An outstanding timber pine due to its large size, 80+ ft. at maturity, and fast growing ability. It has long, soft, light green needles and grows well in many soil types. Often used for windbreaks, wildlife habitat, lumber, and Christmas trees. Prefers full sun, but can tolerate some shade. Not salt tolerant. Click here for more info from ODNR
